The challenge

Sony, one of the pioneers in HD technology, was launching a new range of HD products and to support it they wanted to give their existing HD World microsite a facelift. They needed the new site to highlight the advantages of Sony HD products and also to educate consumers about why they should upgrade from SD to HD.

What did we do?

After winning a pitch against 2 other agencies, Luxus went to work, designing and creating a more robust site structure. We designed and built the site, taking care of all aspects, including the Flash work, the graphic and motion design, the interface, the animation, even creating an online game and competition. To help consumers understand HD we included clear definitions of High Definition terminology. And to convey the benefits of Sony’s HD products and technology we presented it using rich, crisp images that complemented the visual appeal of HD.

The results

The finished site demonstrates Sony’s advantage over competing brands and also shows how Sony’s wide range of HD products can seamlessly enhance the consumer’s HD experience. It was well-received by the client and they were happy at the robustness of the site content, as well as the overall design. We have since been asked to maintain and refresh the site with new HD product updates.
