Case Events 1
Case Events 2Luxus created a platform that become the only point of reference, aggregating all the client’s virtual events.
The challenge
Our original brief was to create a single space for all online events. The idea was to make people feel as if they were participating in the physical events – to bring the event experience online. And to offer more to delegates attending events; such as, engaging presentations, videos and interactive demos. The first event was scheduled for mid-2008.
What did we do?
We built the back-end to run virtual events smoothly in real-time, We created all the coding, most of the front-end design and controlled the information flow. To arrive at the best event experience we had to employ leading edge, sometimes entirely new technology. We piloted the streaming of live video, online chat, and real-time Q&A sessions, as well as pulling in event talk on social media to the virtual event site. And we built complementary mobile event sites too. And we managed all this working with many parties and multiple vendors.
In addition to being behind the scenes we also create keynote presentations and videos for centre stage, pre and post-event sites, as well as following up with questionnaires, newsletters and analysis.
The results
So how did it go? Very well. As the first event got underway: videos and speeches could be viewed online as they were happening, live comment feeds were pulled in, and announcements and launches happened simultaneously. Our technical solutions made our client’s life a lot easier and provided a single package for digital events coverage. This initial success has led to a total of 20 events in two years, some taking place in an exclusively digital space.
