Case-nokia_shorts-image3Vimeo is where serious filmmakers and video creators showcase their work.
Working with both brands as a creative agency, we have supported the launch of the Nokia HD Channel on Vimeo, the development of the Nokia Shorts 2011 contest, and inspired a world of mobile filmmakers.
What did we do?
After successfully helping to launch the Nokia HD Channel on Vimeo and promoting Nokia’s position as a sponsor of the 2010 Vimeo Awards, we have also been involved in the development and promotion of the 2011 Nokia Shorts contest.
We have been responsible for creating the visual identity and messaging across digital channels as well as in print titles such as Vice Magazine, to entice filmmakers worldwide to get creative.
In addition, we’ve also directed and produced a series of unique films using the Nokia N8 to showcase why it is the Vimeo-approved handheld device for HD filmmaking.
From a trailer with Nokia’s Steven Overman, to an interview with Vimeo’s Blake Whitman on the state of mobile filmmaking, and a colourful look at life in New York City – the films aim to inspire the Vimeo community to get out and create something new for Nokia Shorts.
The results
The Nokia shorts competition received over 600 submissions and the winning video was watched over 1.6 million times, gathering mentions and appreciation all over the globe.
To-date, the Nokia HD Channel on Vimeo has attracted over 600 subscribers and received over 100 videos created by a passionate filmmaking community.
