What did we do?

Lots of us have owned several mobile phones over the years and the My Mobile Profile app helps you to remember your old favourites. With My Mobile Profile you can pick out the Nokia phones that you’ve owned over the years from a list that goes all the way back to 1984 – you can browse through all of them. Once you’ve found all the Nokia phones you’ve owned, you can compare your mobile profile with your Facebook friends. And that’s not all. You can see which phones were the most popular among boys, and girls, and around the whole world. And you can also see your phones on a timeline with some of the highlights from each year.

As Facebook apps go, My Mobile Profile is pretty complex and it involves presenting a lot of different information clearly. To do this Luxus did the concept design, the graphic design, the user interface, and the art direction, ensuring that it worked within Facebook specifications. We carefully thought the messaging through and made sure that every Nokia phone ever sold, anywhere in the world, was included – with a picture. To accommodate all the back-end data we created the databases, and built the frontend with php and html. Bearing in mind the nature of social media, we were also careful to respect all privacy requirements, only showing data that users contributed to the My Mobile Profile application.
